New Song...

As I was driving to Grant at 6:15 this morning (I know...it's a Saturday....but we were hosting a speech meet today), a new song that I had never heard before came on the radio. The radio host played a short interview clip with this young woman and I was captivated by her response. She mentioned that many times, as believers, we are wrapped up in trying to be perfect. In reality, we are flawed human beings....we can't be perfect. We need to embrace what we are in Christ. I heard this song three times today...once on the way to Grant, once on the way home from Grant, and once at church this evening! I figured that was a sign that I should look up the lyrics and try to find an audio clip of the song...so if you're interested, check out this link. I believe this is her website....it has the song lyrics and an audio clip....enjoy!

I Still Believe

Driving to school this morning, I began thinking about everything going on in my life right now. To be quite frank, I became pretty flustered and depressed. I won't go into detail, but I have a few things that are very heavy on my heart right now and have been for quite some time. Whenever I think about these things I tend to get pretty upset and I can't understand why things are going the way they are going.

So as I was contemplating and getting upset, this song came on the radio. It is called "I Still Believe" and it is by Jeremy Camp. Now, I am a person who easily identifies with song lyrics, poems, literature, etc. So this song really helped put things into perspective for me...that no matter what I am going through (good or bad), it is God's will. I have a tough time when things don't go my way :) Anyway....I have a class right now, but feel free to read the lyrics. Have a beautiful day!
-D
Scattered words and empty thoughts
Seem to pour from my heart
I've never felt so torn before
Seems I don't know where to start
But its now that I feel your grace fall like rain
From every fingertip washing away my pain

I still believe in your faithfulness
I still believe in your truth
I still believe in your holy word
Even when I don't see, I still believe

Though the questions still fog up my mind
With promises I still seem to bear
Even when answers slowly unwind
It's my heart I see you prepare
But its now, that I feel, your grace fall like rain
From every fingertip washing away my pain

I still believe in your faithfulness
I still believe in your truth
I still believe in your holy word
Even when I don't see, I still believe

Well the only place I can go is into your arms
Where I throw to you my feeble prayers well in brokenness
I can see that this was your will for me
Help me to know that you are near

I still believe in your faithfulness
I still believe in your truth
I still believe in your holy word
Even when I don't see, I still believe

iChat...

Nate left for Doane Honor Choir early this morning and was gone today. But, before he left, he found this cool program for Macs called iChat. It allows you to connect onto a messenger type thing and you can add people to your buddy lists and such. Wow...that was a poor description! Anyway, Nate and I had a 20 minute video chat tonight....this is a photo from our chat :)
Neat program, eh?

Well, hope everyone is doing well! Have a great week!
